Perhaps more importantly, Mueller knows that Trump knew, based on information from other sources.

It's all about him lying to the FBI. but it barely mentions who is contacts were with Trump campaign.

I think there is a reason for that and just a 6 month sentence....he is singing like a bird now

He didn't tell them anything they didn't already know. Six months is the maximum under the plea agreement.

You can infer they also know who his contacts were, but they don't want to reveal that yet.

They are claiming he impeded the investigation with his lies, because when they went to interview the Professor in the US they were apparently going by with what GP had told them and then the Professor flew the coop and got away.

This makes the FBI look bad if you ask me. Either they knew he was lying or they should have known. they are blaming his lies for their incomplete investigation of the professor while they had the chance

I think he is singing about his contacts were now. They memo indicates he was worthless until they presented him with evidence, and then he hid the phone until he gave it up

To me the memo speaks volumes about what it leaves out

Sorry I am dumb.

Because he lied to the FBI they had no statements by him with which to confront the professor.

If he had been truthful in his proffer, they could use his statements to interview the professor more thoroughly

They figured it out later, probably by the time they arrested him for lying.
