Her family was the Carters' closest neighbor when Jimmy was little and Miss Lillian told Jimmy that he peeked into her crib when they went to greet the new baby. He would have been three. I have his autobiography on audio - read by the author - and I listen to it in my car when I have to drive any distance. I recommend it highly!

He's written numerous books - another way he supports his family - but this one is pretty comprehensive. I don't think he gets to his run for president till disc #5! It's called "A Full Life: Reflections at 90" so it covers his life through the Obama years. And I love having the audio book since it's read by the author himself.

I've always been a huge fan of President Carter, and when he talks about current issues, even I was surprised at how much I agree with his view of things. He is one amazing man - and Rosalynn was probably the first of our First Ladies who was involved and interested in the issues, was much more than a White House hostess, in many ways paved the way for Hillary Clinton and Michelle Obama.

Eleanor Roosevelt was in a category all by herself. I admit I was mainly looking at First Ladies in my lifetime. And I think they broke the mold after Mrs. Roosevelt.
