Even if we as a nation were to re-emphasize teaching civics in school - which is where this knowledge would come from - right winger would claim indoctrination of their children and would probably refuse to send their children to these classes. IOW, the willful ignorance and abject stupidity will be perpetuated for generations. Frankly, we're at a stage where I don't see how this can change. Not when their own leaders decry the deep state. And while trump may truly believe in the deep state, the RW politicians know precisely how everything works and are working the system exclusively for the benefit of themselves and their donors. There is no incentive to educate, or, indeed, to work on behalf of, their constituents.

His latest is that the massacre in Las Vegas was a pre planed setup by (??????). How come tee shirts with Vegas Strong came out "only" two days after the shooting...... And made in Vietnam, Indonesia... I've stopped trying to change him and just roll my eyes and chuckle...
