This is really quite magnificent, folks. Very significant.

VoteVets reminds members of armed forces about their oath to protect and defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic.

Trump blocked their Twitter feed last June!!!!! The sitting President blocked a leading vet's group.

The NYT link is also very extraordinary, and it is written by Tim Weiner, author of several the author of histories of the F.B.I. and C.I.A.

7 of the 11 shot were either shot in side or in the back. My friends and I hosted some Kent State students. They got out of the area because they feared the killing wasn't over.

I was a member of the Nebraska National Guard that was activated for the July 4th Omaha riots, I believe in 1966.

We were each armed with 1 vomiting gernade and 1 live round clip for out M1 rifles. Bayonetts were mounted but the clip was in our pocket. No order was ever given to lock and load. Duty ended up being uneventful.

There's sort of an informal "Trump blocked me" club of twitter people.

The WH meeting of some Vets, representing various vet groups, fell apart within minutes, when his attention span waned,
and his ignorantness threw out the question of whether it was Agent Orange or napalm that was shown in the movie Apocalypse Now.

fuckface made it a huge issue, and argued with the first few answers that it was napalm. You know, one of those asshole moves where you ask a question to pick a fight over the answer. He declared it was Agent orange and that everyone was all wrong.
Meeting broke up rather quickly and a lot of vets got educated real fast about his inability to do diddly for them.

They can have their ceremony for the public where they swear on the Bible to uphold the constitution, but before that they will have signed and sworn to uphold a document pledging allegiance first and foremost and always to Agent Orange. They will assure him that no matter what Mueller says, even to proving treason, these sycophants will side with drumpf and PUtin against their country, even to lining up and killing us in the middle of the streets or in our homes if there is an insurrection of people wanting to reclaim our democracy and kick out the russian agent.

When we enter any of the armed forces, we swear an oath to THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. There is no such oath to the president. Presidents come and go, but THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA must survive, or we all die. America is bigger than any one who holds the temporary office of the presidency. To suggest otherwise is counter to everything we believe, as Americans, as well as airmen, sailors, soldier or marines.

This man's time in office WILL end, but the office of the president and the country must survive and live on in freedom.

drumpf and Putin are out to make sure that America doesn't survive and doesn't have freedom, their aim is a dictatorship of the oligarchs with drumpf as head here and probably federation with Russia where Russia is the sr. partner and PUtin the overlord of both.
I agree our constitution and freedom should survive, but really think their aim is the total opposite and how will we stop him if SCOTUS with Kavanaugh rules nothing can be done to him no matter what laws he breaks and Russia hacks all the voter roles, removing Dems or adding fake R's to the voting total?

I know coups are usually defined as being military in nature. But they don't have to be.
Everything Hitler did was legal. He made sure of that. All that he needed was a compliant "congress".

We cannot forget that once Trump got into the white House, he started signing a bunch of Exec. Orders.
Those things were written for him before he even was installed.
The security clearance removal for Brennan was dated July 26...he just waited to to use it for when he needed a distraction , and Omarosa gave him reason to use it, altho it did not work well for a distraction because the news about McGhan broke right after that and put him behind the 8 ball again.
I am sure they have more distractions planned.
Usually you can point to laws/rules/procedures being violated, and people stop cause they are afraid of getting into trouble.
Not Trump....he truly does not care, in his mind he is a king.
Seriously.
Plus he has gotten away with so much shit for so long, he does not expect this to be any different.

Not just younger military personnel or vets. I was a USAF Captain/JAG during the Gulf War, my sister was an Army Captain/doctor and my BIL was a USAF Lt Col. All of us are in our mid to late 50s & none of us voted for Trump. I always liberal, but my my sis and BIL used to be conservative- until 2016.

My sister and I (not sure about my BiL) follow votevets.org on Twitter.

We live within 35 miles of four major military bases here in Tidewater, VA.* Every single one of my retired military neighbors voted for Trump. I interact with them almost daily, walking our dogs together.

A retired military dentist 2 doors down from us voted for Trump - he had us for dinner last year and we discussed it. He got pissed at me for saying Russia had a big role in getting Trump elected.

We have friends who are retired AF colonels. All Kool-Aid drinking Republicans. A retired General lived next door to us but he's gone now.

I'm glad to hear that there are better educated military folks that didn't vote for Trump. That just hasn't been my experience.

it is only a matter of time before your reign is over. Legitimacy in a democracy, or a democratic republic, or a republic, stems from the consent of the governed, and is enforced by the power to back it up. Absent that, you are a government dissolving.

Trump is trying to install his loyalist into upper positions into the military now, to undermine the ones who are really protecting us from him now. He wants it to be HIS military , that'll do anything he demands, period. Every service member should see this for what it is, he's not for this country , or its people, and his agenda is to empower himself even more, then bypass Congress altogether so he can have absolute power for putin , his handler , to use against us, and protect him and trump with. Treason .

• Manufactured by greedy, evil corporate entities.
• Devastating to the environment.
• Extremely toxic to humans (and other life forms).

While the environmental impact is almost immediately apparent, the exposure consequences for humans and others will become apparent over time. Far too late to mitigate the consequences of exposure to this poison.
