...can we expect it to be a hung jury?
Is it possible that there could be one juror that would not vote guilty on any of the charges?
I think most folks are expecting them to finish up today?
If they don't finish soon, the Commander and Thief is going to stroke out.

(5,586 posts)Juries do not like to come back after a weekend. And who knows what theyve seen in the past 72 hours. Its almost impossible to stay off social media for that long for most people, and the President certainly hasnt been quiet on the subject.

(62,444 posts)Length of deliberation means absofuckinlutely nothing. I can't believe all of the handwringing and bedwetting going on over this.
The more interesting question is what difference does it make whether Paul Manafort is found guilty of bank fraud and tax evasion or not. Why the deep personal investment in what happens to him in this particular case? In other words, the morning after he is found guilty (which in all probability he will be), what will have changed?

(65,057 posts)The fact that more than one charge is being considered seems to suggest that the deliberations have to be a bit protracted.
Or am i getting that wrong?

(62,444 posts)But even if there were just a few, the amount of time that a jury takes to reach a result has zero - zero - correlation to the result that they reach.

(17,441 posts)I think they are probably just going through them one by one. I cannot see Manafort being found not guilty of all or most of the charges.
I would be worried about a hung jury if Manafort was just being prosecuted on one or two charges, but that is not the case here.
Hope my thinking on this is correct!

(9,874 posts)indicates that they are not fighting with each other, which usually occurs with a hung jury. Friday they got together and asked the judge if they could go home early so one of the jurors could attend a personal function of some kind. I doubt they'd fall over backwards to be nice to each other if they were fighting about the verdict.
