Judge Ellis has held two bench conferences with attorneys this morning, both put under seal

till the end of the trial.

@ShimonPro
The judge just held another sealed bench conference with prosecutors and defense attorneys. This is the second such bench conference of the day, which, like the first, the judge says will be unsealed following the trial.

This bench conference lasted 7 minutes.

The bench conference lasted about 10 minutes. Court is in recess again and the lawyers have exited the courtroom.

There is no indication what was discussed, though the judge has made it clear that the transcript will be released after the trial.

Judge TS Ellis is back on the bench this morning just after 10am to speak with both teams of lawyers under seal. He said their conversation will be made public at the end of the trial.

The prosecutors, defense attorneys, and Manafort are all in court.

And from what ex- prosecutors have said, the prosecutors in the next trial have mountains of evidence. Manafort is not promising himself recovery on a nice tropical island afterward.

If so, I hope not. The longer the jury is out the stronger the defense position when making deals as the prosecution is less and less sure of how many counts they can get a conviction on and the more it looks like a possible hung jury.
