Once More With The Stupid False Equivalency: Trump Campaign Russian Ties vs. Clinton Campaign 'Ties'

Trump, Hannity, Faux News, and the rest of the Right Wing Noise Machine are still doing what they do best. Creating 'whataboutism' and false equivalency. Saying that the Trump Campaign trying to get dirt on Hillary Clinton from the Russian government is the same as the Clinton Campaign trying to get dirt on Trump from Russians via Christopher Steele; and then pissing and moaning over the fact that the FBI is investigating the former, but not the latter.

For the last time, let's make this really simple:

The Russians that Trump Jr. and Kushner met with are all doing fine, while the Russians that Christopher Steele met with ARE ALL DEAD NOW.

See the difference?

Surely that's simple enough for even Hannity's knuckle-dragging audience to understand. ONE group was DOING what Putin wanted, and the OTHER group was RATTING OUT what Putin was doing. And, as we all know, people who cross Putin usually end up dead.

1. Christopher Steele was a respected member of MI-6, and worked for Britain, America's closest ally. He met with FSB (KGB) agents behind Putin's back, and they told him what Putin was up to. That's why they're dead now (except for a few who are in jail), and Steele has gone into hiding (lest his family get introduced to a whiff of Novichok nerve agent). Steele and the others were targeted because they were EXPOSING what Putin was up to. When those Russians talked to Steele, they were doing it AGAINST the wishes of the Russian government. The Russian government being a hostile foreign power that is dedicated to hurting and weakening the United States.

2. By contrast, Trump Jr. and Kushner were TOLD by Goldstone that the dirt they were going to get on Clinton CAME FROM THE RUSSIAN GOVERNMENT (from the 'Russian Crown Prosecutor' SIC), and the people they met with (Natalia Veselnitskaya and Rinat Akhmetshin) are Russian spies, and close associates of Putin. They were HELPING a government that's dedicated to hurting and weakening the United States.


This false equivalency the Right Wing Noise Machine keeps using is getting a little annoying. Saying what the Trump Campaign did and the Clinton Campaign did are the same is like saying the Nazis and the British were the same during WWII, because they both got information from the FRENCH. Sure, the Nazis were talking to the Vichy French collaborators, and the British were talking to the French Resistance; but 'BOTH SIDES' were getting information from French people, so...
