Mueller has been doing his job, but is it enough? Between the Republicans, Rudy & Trump attempt to distort the truth about all the illegal activities of Trump. Every time there is light at the end of the tunnel, they are able to push the focus in a different way. Call it what you will, but me? It seems to me that Trump is going find away out of all this.

(46,119 posts)Trump discovered a way to game The Constitution. Republicans are afraid of Trump's and his base's ire. And you can thank Twitter and Fox News for that phenomenon.

(1,714 posts)that phrase "checks and balances" used so frequently here, but I doubt that most understand what it means.
The Constitution is not being gamed, and checks and balances are in place.

(23,738 posts)So far, we're failing. The Republicans have failed entirely. Conclusively.
Next up to be tested: The American electorate. For us, it's a bit more of an intelligence test. Are we really the idiots the rest of the world thinks we are, or not?
I have come to believe this is all a test

(6,377 posts)With a strong candidate, everything he's done will fall onto him and cause him to lose the 2020 election.
If you're talking legal ramifications however, I agree. I don't expect him or his family to see any real legal ramifications for everything that's happened.

(13,069 posts)Perhaps I am pessimistic, but I believe we have lost the coop. Trump has been decades in the making--by Putin. They have strategically placed their people in the Legislature who will continue to protect Putin's puppet. They have been placing puppets in courts. The last resort we have--the Supreme Court, will be compromised fully once Kavanaugh is placed by the Russians in the Legislature.

(9,527 posts)And that all of the Russian influence efforts only got Trump within 6 points before the self-inflicted wound of the server did the rest, things will be fine. You may have noticed, we've been winning special elections.

(2,062 posts)No its not enough. Mueller will most likely come out with the final report and find collusion and misdeeds by this president and members of his administration, and in my opinion, congress will do nothing about it. I believe Fuckump will not be put in prison, I believe he will hmmm maybe not even run in 2020, but jump onto the money train bandwagon, sell his former president fame, make a boatload of money, live at the Florida place, play golf and die an old cretin that he is.

(9,874 posts)I have very little faith that there will be justice for his crimes. The only way we will get rid of him is in the next Presidential election. I would like to be very wrong, but I have very little hope that Mueller will be the answer.
