I would like to give you an example of the Alt-Left:

Time: In the run-up to the 2016-election, summer.
Place: A city in Europe.
There were these guys in the inner city, promoting their new radio-station. And they did so by holding loud political speeches.

9/11 was an inside-job!
Steel-beams don't melt at that temperature!
NORAD!
Iraq!
Libya!
Syria!
All of the evil american imperialism!
Clinton-staffers exchanged weird text-messages and that is proof that Hillary Clinton ran a pedophile-ring out of the basement of a pizzeria!

I chimed in, pointing out that the pizzeria doesn't even have a basement.

He was irritated but unfazed. He said, the mere accusation is good enough to start an investigation. What could there possibly be bad about investigations?
At some point he veered off how he cannot understand how people criticize Trump. What bad has Trump ever done?

I pointed out Trump's money-laundering for the russian mob, mentioning Felix Sater, but he pretended not to hear me.

His rants, repeatedly interrupted by me, eventually went back to Syria and how this is all one big plan to bring middle-eastern immigrants as cheap workers to Europe. Why would the US topple the syrian government to bring cheap workers to Europe? He never got to that question because in his opinion a much better plan would have been for the West to pay Lebanon to take in all the refugees.

And then he abruptly ended his speech and switched to playing music from a loudspeaker before I could interrupt him with even more provocative questions in front of the crowd.
Which was a shame. I wanted to ask him how a country of 10 million people was supposed to take care of 5 million refugees and whether Lebanon would even be okay with that.

There's nothing left in what the guy said in your OP. It's all xenophobic right-wing stuff. . . . nt Bernardo de La Paz Aug 2018 #1

That's the point: You can be a hate-filled conspiracy-lunatic and still be nice to foreigners.

I mean I haven't heard any believable definition of the alt-right other than "Racists and Nazis who want to cloak their intentions long enough to . . . oops - we already admitted we are Racists and Nazis" So I guess an alt-left would be "Communists and Maoists who want to cloak their intentions long enough to . . . wait, why aren't you paying attention to me?"

At any rate seems goofy.

You ever spend much time with Greenies or the sorts of people who think Greenies are sold-out corporatists too willing to compromise with the corrupt fascist-capitalist system? People whose main problem with Shining Path is that they don't export the revolution far enough? You'll hear all of that. Ad nauseum.

It was nothing more than a half-crazed conspiracy theorist making claims and referring to himself using current buzzwords with no regard to truth or meaning. Here is what the reichwing is calling alt-left these days:

FDIC
Social Security
Medicare
Medicaid
Minimum wage
Anti employment discrimination
Scientific and technical innovation
Civil rights for all

And they are rabidly anti-american. They hate the US. HATE IT. That does not make them right-wingers.
