Jury Question is REVEALING

Jury Question: “What if the jury can’t reach a unanimous decision on just one count?”

Based on that question alone, we can presume there is at least one guilty verdict. If all other 17 counts were innocent, it is a very unlikely scenario you’d have a hold-out for guilty on just one count. It doesn’t make any sense.

More than likely there is a guilty verdict on multiple charges.

And Paul Manafort has a sad.

SO, don't jump to any conclusions. The judge is going to have to bring the foreman in to clarify.

Here the quote is

"If we cannot come to a consensus for a single count, how can we fill in the verdict sheet?"

That's ambiguous. One particular count or no consensus on any count.

#ManafortVerdictWatch Update:
The jury submitted a note which said: “Your honor if we cannot come to a consensus for a single count, how should we fill in the verdict form? What does that mean for verdict. And we will need another verdict form.”

It's unclear to me whether this means the jury failed
to come to a verdict on one count out of 18 (which
means very little) or if they failed to come to a verdict
on any count (which would be significant).

The judge will tell them little about the consequences of a non-verdict.

Do you say ANY count?

It’s been confirmed on MSNBC they have a verdict on the other 17.

Verdict forms usually have two choices: Guilty and Not Guilty. Sounds like they are simply asking what they are supposed to indicate on the verdict form that doesn't have a third option of No Verdict

Not sure why they need a new verdict form..... There's a separate sheet/verdict form for each count. At least, that's how we did it in AZ state court.

Lastly, I would interpret the question about how would a disagreement as to a single count affect the final verdict to mean they wanna know if their verdicts on the other 17 counts become null and void.

I doubt they have 17 counts with the same verdict.
