Kill your family, hide the bodies, claim to miss them dreadfully and then blame the wife for the kids deaths. It is staggering.

Rather than describing him as wholesome it seems to me the fascination of the media was with why someone who "looked" so wholesome and "seemed" to be living the perfect family life would have committed such a heinous crime.

because a lot of people pick up their talking point from headlines alone. Please read my second post above and I think you will find that I agreed with the basic premise of the post.

Daily KOS's opinion on this news event is that the photos depict the man in Oklahoma as wholesome.

DUers should be wary of relying on DailyKOS as a source of news, because it is not that. I don't count on them to get their headlines right, or anything else for that matter.

And I can't believe he thinks anyone will believe him.

But I do agree with the OP that coverage of different races involved in heinous crimes can be truly disgusting. Any attempt to portray this murderer as "wholesome" or any other positive adjective is down right criminal.

He's saying anything he can because he knows he's screwed (and rightfully so).

The quotes are from friends, who are probably stunned.

And I've seen a bunch of mug shots. But there is only one, as opposed to a ton of others.
