Sanders undoubtedly has some Democrats who genuinely want to elect him, plus a big group of the usual who vote for the usual guy.

But I wonder if a key to where they've gone wrong might be that Sanders appeals to an authoritarian streak in some on both left and right, notably including some of VT's government program-loving/socially conservative populists. Registered Democrats or not, the vote is hardly sacred to that group, and of course messing with the liberal Democratic Party a rallying call.

Not my kind of Democrats in any case.

Of course Collins is conservative elected mostly by conservatives. Attack dogs aren't trained to guard principles, they're trained to attack. Insulting, but that's where too many cons are.

We need to get over this Kavanaugh crap. That's Trump pick, fair and square. All punishment for Gorsuch should be saved until we have Congress and articles of impeachment against Trump.

But make no mistake: Gorsuch should not be allowed to stay on the court.
