(1,716 posts)Question is can he get bail pending appeal. Hope not.

(34,136 posts)Not only is he expecting another trial next month, his bail for both those trails was revoked because he tried to influence witnesses. In addition he may not have the assets to pay for bail.
Paul Manafort will be in jail for years no matter what happens with his next trial or with any appeals he might try to make - if he has any money to pay attorney to file appeals.
Oh - maybe he could ask Michael Cohen to represent him in those appeals?

(5,810 posts)Anything over 5 years is a lllooonnggg time to be incarcerated. Considering what his life expectancy would be at 70, thinking that a quarter or more of that time would be behind bars would be a pretty sad prospect. Not undeserved. Just thinking how Id feel since I am the same age.
