@DavidCornDC

I'm waiting for all those Republicans who thought Bill Clinton should be impeached for lying about sex to weigh in on what to do about a president who allegedly conspired to violate federal law to hide a sex scandal.

In fact, the Impeachment Manager for the House was none other than then-Representative now-Senator Lindsay Graham of South Carolina. Sen. Graham has been especially buddy-buddy with the Trump White House of late. It will be interesting to see if it's still dangerous to get between Graham and a camera, or if Graham will develop a sudden aversion to publicly pontificating for the people.

Shame only works when there is a sense of right and wrong. I know, I felt it when my parents used it on me. I knew they were right, even though I didn't want to acknowledge it. They taught me about what as appropriate and not appropriate.

Republicans have been losing that sense for going on 50 years now. They have a whole media universe where they never have to hear actual facts. They have built districts that reward the most extreme behaviors. They either don't hear, don't know, or don't care about the irony of their position back in the 90's and today's scandals which are 1000 times worse.

Either the good guys win, which means almost all of the GOP leadership along with Trump and his skeevy family are indicted, which would take years of investigation. It would be the largest of its kind probably ever. That is IF it was allowed to be completed.

Because the only other alternative is

unless Democrats take the House by enough to override any repug obstruction. Repugs will never do it, nor agree to it. Even with center right Nixon repugs it took a threat of naming Nixon in an indictment to move them toward impeachment.

Mike Pence's moral case for removing a president from office

By Andrew Kaczynski, CNN

(CNN)Vice President Mike Pence once argued the president of the United States should be held to the highest moral standards to determine whether he should resign or be removed from office.

Pence made the argument in two columns in the late 1990s, where he wrote that then-President Bill Clinton's admission of an affair with a White House intern and prior lies to the public about the matter, possibly under oath, meant Clinton should be removed from office.

Yet Pence also moved beyond the specifics of the Clinton case: He made a far-reaching argument about the importance of morality and integrity to the office of the presidency.

only apply to democratic politicians. Repubs. do whatever they please, then stick together to "keep it in the family", as Ryan said. Crime family. Once the Russian money payments are exposed, maybe gop voters will finally wise up? I doubt it, since those two buffoons at a tRump rally wore sweatshirts saying "I'd rather be Russian than Democrat" This is the level of intelligence that follows the Orange Ass.

Waiting on that will be an act of futility. The guy has been committing reason right before our eyes, and they're looking the other way on that. No way in hell they're going to do anything about him violating lesser federal laws. (And, by "lesser", I mean lesser in comparison to treason.)

They don't care.
They know they are hypocrites.
It doesn't matter to them.
Nothing matters to them but pissing off Democrats and liberals.
That is it.
We need to stop pretending and stop listening to anyone who still thinks these people are sincere about anything or actually stand for anything.
They don't.

So spending even a millisecond of our time trying to catch them in or point out their hypocrisies is completely pointless.

Yes it's fun but it doesn't actually convince anyone of anything or make anyone rethink their positions.

And this includes the coveted "independents" who see stuff like this and think nothing more than "Oh yeah, well that's party politics for you. Both sides do this." and not "Oh wow. Yeah, those Republicans are total hypocrites. I definitely won't vote for them any more."
