Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsOur government was designed to function with three equal branches.
We now have one and three quarters.
Congress is totally impotent. The judiciary's lower courts are, for the most part, working well, but the SCOTUS is infected by one illegitimate justice and may soon get another.
The only "functioning" branch is the executive and that is in the hands of a traitorous incompetent thug.
Under these circumstances, is it reasonable to "let the system work"?

(62,444 posts)1. Not sure I understand your question
Under these circumstances, is it reasonable to "let the system work"?
As opposed to what?
I'm hardly inclined to believe that there is anything near a significant portion of the population who would find, at this time, for some sort of disruptive social upheaval to be preferable to their current circumstances.

generate some alternatives. But, I would not rule out "social upheaval". What the public will accept may change rapidly and NO ONE has all the answers---certainly not me.
IMHO, this poster accurately summarizes the general situation:

For the most part, I agree with you. Its a dangerous place we are in. I do think it is reasonable to let the system work.

remark! I maybe shoulda sed : "small keyboard".
Anyway---thanks for the chuckle!
