That’s crazy. I met Vic Salerno at a wedding in Long Island in the mid 80s. This was a mega dollar wedding with high rollers all over the place. I was there because my wife’s cousin was the one getting married. The bride was Greek so I have no idea why the Salerno brothers and many employees from their company were there.

Plenty of free booze opened up some loose lips and Salerno employees were telling me about kickback schemes they were involved in with New York politicians. I was definitely not comfortable with any of that discussion.

Within two years the Salerno Brothers were busted for kickback schemes. Talk about crazy things that can randomly happen to you in life.
