Question: Has it been determined that Manafort will or will not be re-tried for

the remaining 10 counts that were declared a mistrial? Now that we suspect the one hung juror was not reasonable, would the prosecution feel they can get a conviction on a do-over?

Does Mueller have a say in this? Is the potential for a re-trial play into Manafort's calculation on cooperation?

I would imagine that they will wait until the outcome of the September trial.

(or is it a month?) to decided whether or not to retry. (It's at the beginning of her show.)

Juries are usually instructed to NOT give an indication of how the jury votes were split. In this case, the foreperson ignored that instruction and wrote down that it was 11-1 on 10 of the counts.

Now that the prosecutors know that, the chances that they'll go back and retry could indeed be much higher.

OTOH, the next Manafort trial is coming up, and it's in DC, where trumpy-boy got 4% (yes, you read that correctly) 4% of the vote. So why bother with those deadlocked conspiracy charges when they're known to be harder to prove anyway?

On the third hand, Manny has to be out of money for legal fees and therefore has some serious decisions to make. Even that asshat Pecker has flipped on Trump, shocking some of his closest to him.

The dam is breaking. The tipping point is coming any day I think. If Pauly Maulnuts doesn't flip soon, Mueller may just give him the finger and let him rot; he has plenty of overwhelming evidence already.

these lawyers, and apparently Mueller could go to court to force him to reveal his funding sources.

and moving on to the next trial. She said there wasn't a whole lot to gains retrying the 10 mistrial verdicts. Plus the DC court is likely to be even less favourable to Manafort.

Just saying, they might let that dangle out there for a little while.

...finishing what they started...etc.. If it's clear they have evidence to convict, I bet they will...for all the same reasons they started the prosecution in the first place. Might be a shorter trial this time around so why not?

16. They'll probably file to retry by the deadline.

Whether that trial will take place probably depends on the verdicts from the DC trial next month.

It costs them nothing to file the intent to retry, really, so they'll do that, I'm sure. But, if they get a strong guilty verdict in DC, there probably won't actually be a new trial.

That's my estimation about this.
