I doubt that Trump will be able to accomplish that goal because this seems to be the only point where Republicans refuse to bow down to him. So will Putin cut his losses and decide that he cannot gain much more from Trump? I also find it interesting that Putin dumped at least some U.S. dollars in favor of buying gold. What is he planning that might undermine the dollar?

Many people think interfering in our elections was an act of war. With Putin, it isn't always apparent what his long game is. Breaking up the EU and NATO, plus ending sanctions against Russia are on the top of the list. After the last couple years, I am expecting the unexpected.
