These are the most consequential mid terms in the history of the republic.

While I still believe Pence is Trump with an amiable veneer at least he doesn't display any outward characteristics of being non compos mentis. Donald Trump is unmoored from any sense of reality.

The danger with a President Pence is the media will celebrate his ascendancy as a return to "normalcy" and we will get all of the Republican party's reactionary policies with a human face.

With Trump we have a mad man with no allegiance to anybody but himself, no higher purpose than self aggrandizement, and a moral compass that is irretrievably broken, who is capable of inciting civil unrest or starting a war to save himself.


I'm still grappling with how we got here. At the moment I am at a loss where we go.

I do know these are the most consequential mid terms in the history of the republic. There desperately needs to be some checks on the mad man who resides at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.
