Weisselberg knows decades of Trump Organization AND Trump foundation money secrets, and he was involved with those crimes.
Cohen knows somethings, related to his crimes, probably not all that Weisselberg knows.

He paid all of Trump's bills and wrote his checks for decades. He can explain or lift the veils from any payment ever made by the Trump organization. It is unlimited, whereas Cohen only knows about the stuff in which he was the "fixer".

Cohen already pleaded guilty so this is not about him but about getting more information on higher ups.

Washington (CNN)A top figure in President Donald Trump's orbit was granted immunity in the investigation into hush money payments made to two women who alleged they had affairs with Trump, a sources familiar with the matter told CNN Friday.

Trump Organization chief financial officer Allen Weisselberg, whose entanglements with Trump's finances are extensive, was granted immunity by federal prosecutors for providing information about Trump's former personal attorney Michael Cohen.

The interview, which focused on Cohen and the payments, happened weeks ago under a deal negotiated by his attorney, one of the sources said. Weisselberg hasn't been called back, the source said.

So maybe immunity was granted to get to Cohen exclusively? And maybe not.
We just don't know.

It shows that prosecutors are done harpooning the sharks and now are going after whales (pardon the analogy).

What Cohen says will require proof. Following the money leads directly to Weissenberg and ultimately to Trump and Trump Organization.
