AMI pays for that footage next to the Registers. Much like cereal manufactures pay for shelf space in the cereal isle.

It's the reason casinos place the high dollar slots near the center of the casino and the penny slots near the doors. Managers know to that once the patron has spent their wad inside and is making their way out, they might still have some change in their pockets and can leave all of that too on their way out.

Thus tabloids near the checkout. Basically junk gossip and falsehoods all wrapped up into something that simpletons can use to talk about with their social group. It's not supposed to be taken seriously. Unfortunately, we have tRumpists, the dumbest of the dumb.

Like Alex Jones. I have a friend who used to put Jones on all the time for “laughs”. (Until I told him to stop)

He used to claim it was just for entertainment. Then he would come out with “Obama is the worst president in history”. Where was he getting that shit from? It’s called brainwashing.

the print version of Fox News. The real problem seems to be people without critical thinking skills who read it and believe it.

Drumpf says it deserves a Pulitzer Prize.

Tabloids (and magazines) are a no-risk revenue source, since the store only pays for copies sold. And major retailers often receive a quarterly payment for the valuable space at the checkstand from the publisher or distributor, making the whole thing even more financially attractive.

And honestly, since virtually every grocery sells them, a boycott would be pretty much impossible for people who want to buy food.

Was being hyperbolic by saying it isn't sold at all - but it certainly seems to have diminished dramatically.

15. Months of turning the Trump covers to the rear

had a positive effect like Pavlov's Dog experiment. I shop at two stores that prominently displayed the rag. I started turning the magazines in Nov. 2016. Pretty soon, a bunch of my FB friends started doing it. Soon, I was finding the magazines already turned when I shopped. THEN, they stopped placing the magazine at the checkout stand altogether! Now they have diet magazines and healthy living. So my informal experiment concludes that Trump was not selling the soap, so Pecker shifted his focus to more standard celeb fare -- like whether Kim Kardashian rubs her butt with nettles.
