Even assuming a Dem in 2020, by the time they'd get to her pardon, she'd already likely have served most of it. That doesn't mean restoring some voter rights would not be useful, but in reality, given circumstances, there's not much more to hope for her.

especially in the all important "honeymoon" period when they have the best chance of getting legislation and other policies through. Even if, by chance, they elevated pardons and commutations as a priority, by that time she'd have served her full sentence.

He pardoned Chelsea Manning. So, yes, I say a government whistleblower should be protected for exposing information about illegal government actions.

Manning was not a "whistle blower" but released over a half a million documents, most of which she never read, including documents related to diplomatic negotiations that were intended to reduce conflict.

There are laws to protect "whistle blowers" who take action against a specific government action.
