Freepers "stand up for" thoroughly discredited David Barton today

The thread: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2917016/posts

Some responses:

David Barton is a class act. His wealth of knowledge about the real history verses history revisionism is incredable. The left has no shame when someone talks with facts. God Bless David and yes we need to post this everywhere and stand in support with him

I have read a few of his books (not the Jefferson one yet - but now I will get it quickly) and found them well researched and written. I did not know about the Thomas Nelson deal, but in looking at the Amazon “reviews” it seems to be a liberals gone wild situation.

...for his evaluation beyond "it says what I want to believe and it has lots and lots of footnotes", and has no interest in checking if those notes actually support what he claims. Or even exist.

I am thinking about organizing a “buy in” of that book at my local Barnes and Noble. We sit in the store till they agree to sell us all the copies they have.

Yeah - that'll show them. I imagine the B&N staff will be wetting their pants in their hurry to separate the idiots from their money.
