Axios poll significance isn't that 56% don't want to begin impeachment but that 44% (& 49% Ind) DO

The only groups that are less than 40% in favor of beginning impeachment are

Republicans (8%)

"Never Hillary" Independents (35%)

Rural voters (36%)



Suburban white women who were polled do believe Michael Cohen (66%) but so far their support for beginning impeachment now is only 42%.


That's still stunning.

Given that the Mueller investigation hasn't concluded, those are amazing numbers in favor of beginning impeachment.

For Benghazi and the debunked IRS scandal and a host of other non-issues. Yes those people were partisan morons but my point is we better be really sure or we’re going to look like partisan morons. Impeachment can totally backfire. Ask Newt.
