I have two friends on F/B, both longtime childhood friends.

They share an inordinate love of Donald Trump and both are evangelicals. One is little put-off by the antics by Trump but supports the "results" of his presidency. The other so loves Trump and Jerry Falwell Jr. that he sent his daughter to Liberty University.

They're also hyperpatriotic. They love this country dearly and trumpet (excuse the pun) their sentiments often. And of course, they are conservative socially and economically.

I checked their feeds today for any acknowledgement of John McCain's passing and/or funeral. Nada. Niente. Nichts. Nothing.

Evidently they feel that they can't both honor John McCain, the principles on which this country was founded, and *their* President. It's almost as if they feel that they're dishonoring Trump if they display a modicum of appreciation for a war hero, another Republican, and a proud American.

While they didn't criticize McCain either, their silence is deafening.
