Republicans have betrayed our country.

With their lack of resistance and their outright support of fascist policies, they have chosen to tear down our democratic republic and its institutions.

Whether wittingly or unwittingly, it does not matter. The result is all that we can judge. They have betrayed the trust that many voters put in them. Instead, they have followed a fascist leader, like lemmings into the sea.

Come November, the people will decide if fascism is what they want? Or if they want a democracy? It is the choice of their lifetimes.

Sun Sep 2, 2018, 08:42 AM
Sep 2018

I try to not put any sort of negativity into the universe, it only creates more negativity.

If candidates have to win by 6% to overcome rigged voting machines then we will win by 6%. We can win state offices and overturn the voter purges. We can win in 2020 and overcome the gerrymandering.

Fuck the negativity it accomplishes nothing. I can see the Giant Blue Wave coming in spite of the obstacles.

I agree with Kentuk, people must choose democracy over fascism, good over evil.

Light overcomes darkness, and thanks to Mueller the cockroaches are being exposed and squashed.

Vote.

People who I thought were one thing turned out to be another, and I thank Trump for exposing them for me.

Whatever the % is of Trump cultists, they will not evolve, they are lost. The word deplorable was too kind of a word to describe them. I believe, however, that there are a lot more righteous, moral people, I believe that good will conquer evil.

The M$M played a big role in where we are. I do see small signs that the narrative is changing. The M$M needs to do more, it can help us win.

Vote.

I am not generally pessimistic as a rule. I have been very certain many times that we would prevail, because we were on the side of democracy, truth, and honesty. AND we were in the majority. I have reason to be cynical and when I say such things, it isn't pessimism so much as a warning. After all who could have imagined that Donald Trump could become president.

and pro sports teams that the talk radio propaganda monopoly depends on - and they'll lose coordinated fake news megaphone that gives them the ability to pretend they're 'mainstream'

there's a lot the 'left' can do and destroying the rw radio monopoly, the only real advantage the cons have, will do a lot to counter anything putin can do, and give us the senate too.

here are a couple of things:

the 88 unis listed here support 260 limbaugh stations. in florida 5 universities broadcast sports on 20 limbaugh stations that are likely now attacking gillum while flying the banners of those idiot universities. FLORIDA 20 Florida 10, Florida St. 4 Miami 2, South Florida 2, Central Florida 2 (from republiconradio.org)
they're also doing global warming denial (in florida!!) and trying to defund public ed, and making excuses for trump, attacking mueller. basically 30 years ago most of those stations were bought by what is now the KKK party, and those unis, and a lot of pro teams, have no excuse to keep supporting trump talk radio.

those stations are having gop candidates and their surrogates and guests from rw think tanks on all the time - it's all free to them, paid for by advertisers and often endorsed by public unis

anyone can get mueller's back, gillum's back, beto o'rourke's back by recording their local stations and getting transcriptions done for $5/hr at sonix.ai for eg, - that's much faster easier and cheaper by an order of magnitude the last year thanks to AI (also republiconradio.org)

dem candidates always get caught by surprise by the lying and attacks on those stations, and gop candidates say things on they wouldn't elsewhere - ammo for ads and debates. often there are podcast trails - nunes has/had? 50 podcast recordings on his .gov site, for eg.

with live recordings it's easy to list advertisers by searching for "DOT" as in dot com, getting web addresses, and then sending emails thanking those businesses for trump, putin, fascism, racism, taking kids from their parents, more expensive healthcare, global warming, etc

and so on

13. And too many voters are okay with this because "their" guy is in the White House.

Sep 2018

I frequently read the Texas Tribune, and recently many of the comments about the O’Rourke-Cruz race have left me discouraged about the display of misinformation and the outright support for anything Trump does. Most recently, I read comments related to Trump’s plan to hold a rally in Texas for Cruz, and several of the commenters praised Trump and warned that voters must choose Cruz or we would have socialism and even communisn with Democrats controlling Congress. They also repeated the Republican mantra that Trump needed Republicans to keep control of Congress or everything he is doing “for the people” would be undone. The same commenters used the economy, the low unemployment rate, the tax cut, and getting tough on our cheating trading partners as the reasons for Trump being the best president ever. If we underestimate the power of the propaganda being broadcast everyday by right-wing media, we may be very disappointed in November. To overcome potential (or is that probable?) Republican cheating, we must win by large majorities.

I think many people are focused on this, but there are still many who just are not tuned in to what is happening. A personal example comes to mind. I was getting a haircut recently and chatting with the woman cutting my hair. She is a Beto supporter but admitted that she knew virtually nothing about the things that Trump has done or what’s happening with the Russia investigation. She is a busy single parent and spends little time with the news. She promised to vote in November, but how many people like her will not bother because they’re too busy just trying to earn a living to take care of their kids? We need election day to be a national holiday so people see the importance of voting.

The day I saw the video of Trump looking at a 10 year old girl and having sexual thoughts about her, about dating her in 10 years was enough to convince me about Trump.
People are misinformed because the biggest lie out there is that the media is liberal. The M$M enabled Trump to win, was complicit, it gave him 24/7 free coverage. The M$M is still slanted to the right, including msnbc. I see small shifts in the narrative coming from the media but it needs to do more.

Vote.

When we win the House let the fun begin. There were 51 subpoenas or requests for investigations that Democrats made but were turned down by Republicans. 51 is a good start. How about releasing Trump's taxes for a starter?
Uncover every stone and expose every cockroach.

How about this slogan for the election? MAKE AMERICA AMERICA AGAIN.

The opportunity we have in November is a once-in-a-lifetime deal. There may be, at some future time, opportunities that look similar, smell the same, or feel familiar. But they cannot be the same.

Yesterday, I worked on a variety of campaigns, from the local level, to the state, and to a House race. My son is the Democratic candidate for a town office. The local republicans are supporting him. A cousin is running for state Supreme Court. A NYS assemblyman who has helped on Native American issues stopped by my house. And I am working to replace Rep Claudia Tenney -- a horrible tea party mutant -- with Anthony Brindisi, a very solid Democrat.

I'm taking today off, to visit my daughter at college. But tomorrow, it's back to work!

I've been talking with local republicans about our district's contest for the House of Representatives. We are targeting Claudia Tenney. The vast majority of the town and county officials here are republicans. But the majority are supporting my friend Anthony Brindisi. None of them have endorsed Tenney.

Claudia has cancelled several local "visits," because of the size of the crowds protesting against her. Last week, she visited a local Vet's Home, but only stayed long enough for a photo opportunity. When one vet asked a question, her aide said she wasn't there to answer their questions! The gentleman got up and walked out. This story is turning people away from her. You know that I'm pushing it in the regional media!

...being a Democrat is both unpatriotic and ungodly. Go figure. So in their sick twisted minds, even getting help from a foreign country to take over rule is justified if it helps their ideology.

Their allegiance is to ideology, not country and people. They would just assume to round up any liberal and institutionalize them, in their sick minds, a majority of the population is mentally ill....let that sink in for a few minutes.
