BELTON, Texas (WDRB) -- A semi fire shut down a Texas interstate Friday morning.

Officials in Belton, Texas say the truck carrying Axe body spray caught fire about 4 a.m. on Interstate 35. The fire quickly spread and ignited the body spray.

Cans of the spray exploded and launched from the truck scattering debris across the interstate.

No one was injured in the fire. But the interstate was shutdown for more than eight hours for the cleanup.

And Axe body spray is strong enough to make 35 smell all the way up here. Even the rain in Iowa isn't enough to stop it.

Out of an abundance of caution, both directions of I-35 are closed to vehicles containing teenaged girls until further notice, for their safety.

The traffic along I35 from Waco through Austin is always bad, but that was horrendous.

The current smell of high schools is vanilla or peppermint or whatever the current jelly-bean flavor in vogue with manly teenage boys nursing their foolish and entirely self-inflicted addiction to vape-provided nicotine.

Gad, some of the teenagers make part of my classroom unbearable, they so reek of the smell of toddler candy or 8-year-old-girl "perfume".

At least there's odorless nicotine, so they can get feed their addiction without offending others. Sadly, they're already addicted, guaranteeing some fashionable purveyor of nicotine income for many years to come, unable to go a few hours without a hit.

Those damn Juul drug dispensers use a modified form of nicotine that’s even more addictive than the kind in natural tobacco. It’s almost meth-like in its addictive powers, and regular nicotine is already extremely addictive.

AND the Juul is the choice of today’s idiot teen.

I guess the voters will just have to deliver the axe in November.
