I agree the behavior of an 18-year-old in failing to accord Nancy Pelosi the respect she has well earned is unbecoming. But no doubt he has plenty of encouragement and company in that bumptiousness, most without a fraction of the excuse of a boy who just graduated from high school 3 months ago.

Give him another 30 years, and I'm guessing he'll have regretted the memory a number of times, but also mature enough to forgive the kid he was.

No billboard necessary. That being said, I don't expect one, at least not for another 20 or 30 years. Until then, I'm chalking it up to his still having some "young and stupid know-it-all" in him. He's only 18 years old. Still has a lot of learning to do, and he's still at that age where they think they know everything. Outside of the Pelosi thing, the kid is doing alright, though.

He calls for younger people, who have no representation by people his age, to have one of their own in Congress. Exactly how is a person asking for representation "ageist"?

An 18-year old, or even a 25-year old or maybe even a 40-year old Congressperson doesn't have the negotiation and legislative skills that Nancy Pelosi has.

If he, or anyone else wants "younger leadership", they have to prove that they can lead before Democrats in Congress will choose anyone other than Pelosi. Until then, Pelosi's doing a great job as Minority Leader (and Speaker before that), age notwithstanding.
