'Don't Use Mollie' To Push Racism, Says Dad Who Points To 'Heartless' Donald Trump Jr.

Mollie is not a “pawn in others’ debate,” Tibbetts wrote, calling his daughter his “best friend” who had an “extraordinary life.”

She “may not be able to speak for herself, but I can and will. Please leave us out of your debate. Allow us to grieve in privacy and with dignity. At long last, show some decency.”

He added: “As I write this, I am watching Sen. John McCain lie in state in the Capitol Rotunda and know that evil will succeed only if good people do nothing. Both Mollie and Sen. McCain were good people. I know that both would stand up now and do something.”

The person who is “accused of taking Mollie’s life is no more a reflection of the Hispanic community as white supremacists are of all white people. To suggest otherwise is a lie,” Tibbetts wrote.

To the Hispanic community, he added: “My family stands with you and offers its heartfelt apology. That you’ve been beset by the circumstances of Mollie’s death is wrong. We treasure the contribution you bring to the American tapestry in all its color and melody.”

My nephew posted one of the Mollie memes on his page and I called him on it saying the family had requested that Mollie's death not be used politically. One of his friends started an argument stating that her death belonged to the nation in promoting the evils of the immigrant community. I told him that all decent people felt the family had a right to grieve the death of a beloved family member without seeing hateful speech concerning her death. No surprise, he did not get it - at all.

RIP. sweet Mollie, , and Condolences to Mollie's family.

handicapped children. And she, as an hispanic, was very proud of the young man who made a 300 mile run to thank God for allowing his extremely handicapped daughter to live to be older than the doctors predicted. He was an hispanic cop in San Antonio, Texas. His story was in the movie, 300 Miles for Stephanie. Mrs Pacheco, I witnessed with my own eyes. Hispanics, people from Mexico are as good as it gets in the human realm. Nobody should toss them out of this country just because they are hispanic.
