So football fucking fans are the "heartland of America"? And, if you go to an NFL game you'll find lots of MAGA hats???
Fuck you Chuck for trying to turn these stupid hayseeds from Dumfuckistan 'Murika into some noble heartland of America bullshit.
If I see a MAGA hat at my stadium, we're treating the fucktwit like a guy wearing a Steelers jacket into the Dog Pound.
One thing we're going to fix when sane people take back our country is to ensure ignorant, no talent, "I got my journalism degree from Trump University" pissants like you are relegated to covering obituaries in some godforsaken, so-called "heartland" two-horse inbred shithole, where the human interest stories are comprised of whose sister is better in bed.
Go fuck yourself sideways with a First Edition hard cover copy of Atlas Shrugged you worthless piece of amphibian shit!

(58,724 posts)Threats of a protest at Friday nights football game between Union Mine High School and Douglas High School and rumors of violence led school officials to cancel the game.
I was actually planning to go with some friends, said Union Mine freshman Steven Aguero. After school ended, the announcement went off saying that the game has been canceled. So I couldnt go.
According to a statement from Principal Paul Neville, the cancelation was a collection decision between Union Mine High School, Douglas High School and El Dorado County Sheriffs Office. School officials say they had safety concerns.
I dont want harm to come to anybody, regardless of who it is, said Jo-Ann Butler.
On Monday, 17-year-old Butler grabbed a hat, featuring President Trumps campaign slogan, off of a fellow students head. Cellphone video shows the teacher trying to subdue her in the classroom.
Nazis do not deserve freedom of speech in the expression of hate, Butler read to CBS13, as a part of a personal statement. People are killed behind the beliefs represented by those hats.

dsc
(52,162 posts)vs 8 per play and virtually every city has a performing arts center which has several showings per week. To use NC as an example. One NFL game per week with Raleigh, Charlotte, Durham having broadway tour shows several times weekly.

(6,110 posts)glued to the televised NFL games. Now if art center showings and concerts and plays were televised AND get as big followers as NFL games, you make a very good point.
But the reality on the ground is many more people love football than they love performing arts. But again I have not done a research of numbers, but just making an educated guess.
When Seahawks won superbowl a few tears back, downtown Seattle had so many people watching the parade of players, it took me 30 minutes to walk 2 blocks. Wall to wall crowds of people.

(14,155 posts).... divide the country,.. drive in wedges and accentuate hatreds,.. create conflict where none existed before.
As election 2018 approaches and then 2020,.. trDump will tear this country apart to get just what he wants.
Fasten your seat-belts and affix your crash helmets,... we are in for a very nasty and bumpy ride while this Nazi is in the people's White House.

(9,527 posts)Trump also whines about the press saying things he doesn't like. Threatening violence if you don't get your way. Politics really is a circle.
Also given that Cleveland fans only leaned Democratic by about 5 points, just under the average of NFL fan lean, perhaps you might not find as many people eager to throw out somebody wearing a MAGA hat as you think.

(33,355 posts)I live in a hellhole of about 80% repukes. Ever since that thing in the White House failed in its duty to stand up for the 1st Amendment rights of Colin Kaepernik, the magats around here have proclaimed NFL to stand for "Not For Long".
If Chuck 'Toadie' Todd thinks NFL stadiums are filled with MAGAts, I'd like to see real numbers or else I'll consider it just more fishing for viewers.
The tv networks still seem, to me, to be trying to emulate Fox: toss anything out there that will stir up viewers. I don't watch tv 'news' programs; their advertisers do not profit from me.
