Former Trump aide Sam Nunberg has expressed his displeasure over the fact that Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner were not given VIP seats at Senator John McCains funeral on Saturday.
The Trump ally criticized the McCain family and lashed out at how Trumps daughter and her husband were treated during the service.
It was a very nice gesture by Jared and Ivanka to attend, Nunberg told Politico. I find it contemptible that the McCain family couldnt seat them in a better, more respectable section.
Other Trump allies were also incensed that McCains daughter made critical comments seemingly directed at the president.
We gather to mourn the passing of American greatness, the real thing, not cheap rhetoric from men who will never come near the sacrifice, those that live lives of comfort and privilege while he suffered and served, Meghan McCain said. The America of John McCain has no need to be made great again because America was always great.

(19,204 posts)chose their parents so well. That's the only accomplishment either can claim, which is no accomplishment at all. If not for a simple accident of birth these two could very well be living in a homeless shelter. Their good fortune is lost on both of them. They're nothing but self-centered ne'er-do-wells who've been handed everything they've received in life. So they deserve some sort of special treatment because of that?
You're spot on C_U_L8R, they had no business being there at all.

(15,245 posts)Funerals are for the living and John McCain planned one for his family and friends (some Democrats). To those of us who were not exactly impressed with John McCain it was a good reminder he was a decent man who did put family first and as corny as it is to say Country and honor were also center stage. What McCain said to his supporter about Obama comes full circle and can now be said about John McCain.
I am so looking forward to the day Trump and the deplorable scum surrounding him are gone. They should be relegated to obscurity but not forgotten. As disgusting as this Nunberg character, Ivanka and Jared, and even the orange monster; they serve as balance to John McCain who will be remembered for his merits and not crimes against his country.

(22,976 posts)Same shit, different year. Mock Outrage is included in every basic starter GOP-asshole toolkit. The Wellstone event is also a case study in the vintage, wet-dishrag Democratic response to being sucker-punched by the right, and then apologizing for it, like saying, "I'm sorry I put my face in the way of your fist." NO MORE!

Tone of Wellstone memorial generates anger
Ventura blasts 'political rally'
CNN | Thursday, October 31, 2002
MINNEAPOLIS, Minnesota (CNN) -- The partisan tone of the memorial service for the late Sen. Paul Wellstone stirred anger Wednesday in some Republicans, political consultants and radio talk show hosts who say some of the comments and behavior were inappropriate.
Democrats defended the nature of the service, but they also apologized to anyone who might have been offended.
Minority Leader Trent Lott, R-Mississippi, was booed Tuesday night when he entered Williams Arena at the University of Minnesota for the service. Scattered boos also greeted independent Gov. Jesse Ventura, who Wednesday lashed out at Democrats for what he called a "political rally."
The crowd cheered loudly for former Vice President Walter Mondale, who announced in a letter Wednesday that he would run for Wellstone's seat.
Some Republicans in Minnesota demanded equal time from the local television stations that carried last night's memorial, attended by a crowd of more than 20,000. But officials at local television stations pointed out that they will cover President Bush's expected trip to Minnesota this weekend, when he will campaign for Republican Norm Coleman.
Vin Weber, a former congressman from Minnesota, lambasted Democrats for what he called a "complete, total absolute sham."
"To them, Wellstone's death, apparently, was just another campaign event," he told the Minneapolis Star-Tribune.
Dave Ryan, a radio talk show host in Minneapolis, said the airwaves have been full of talk about the service, which featured speeches from Wellstone family members and friends who urged the crowd to remember Wellstone when they cast their votes next week. "I guess the local stations here were swamped with phone calls from people who were angry because they had been sold a memorial service that had turned into a political rally," Ryan said in an interview with CNN. "And I really thought that was kind of shameful. I really did."
<snip>
AND HERE'S THE OLD PROBLEM, STATED RIGHT HERE IN THE ARTICLE:
Democrats, who initially dismissed the criticism, later apologized for some activity, but said the event was unscripted and reflected the strong emotions people felt about Wellstone's death.
"We're sorry if some of the comments went too far in a political direction," Jim Farrell, the former press secretary for Wellstone, told CNN.
<snip>
No more apologizing EVER, Democrats!
