On an evening walk with the dogs tonight, I told my husband that I hope when Democrats

get in power, they're ruthless. I want to see them turn the tables, I want to see fire in their bellies, I want them to - legally - do everything they can to stick it to the Republicans and Trump, if he's around that long. I want them to restore sanity to our country.

They wouldn't impeach a war criminal - wouldn't even hold hearings or investigations

Why would they do anything to Trump and the current crop of GOPers?

Nothing for an eye means someone is half blind and their enemy isn't. And you know what happens if some kind of retribution is never exacted? It happens again, and then that same person is blind, with an enemy who has taken both eyes while losing neither. And then that someone dies a fool's death.

An eye for an eye isn't always appropriate, to be sure... but there sure as hell are times when it is.
