The number of voters heading out to vote in November is going to swing a lot of districts in every state. Since I've pretty much been interested in politics for the past 20 years, I find it unbelievable that I still encounter people out there today that will say "oh, I don't pay attention to politics very much." I look at them like they're from Mars or maybe have been in a coma for the past three years and have just been woken up. At this point, if someone has already become part of the unmovable Trump base, nobody is going to change their minds. But if there's some undecided or independent votes out there, they're the ones who haven't planted their feet in cement yet to favor one party. Those are the people we need to touch upon.

'Energy-Enthusiasm-Effort' are three things that activists need to sustain. I'm pretty old so my energy is more limited than when I was younger but I will still put out all the effort with enthusiasm that I can muster up for this upcoming mid-term election. But my having the 3-E's isn't enough, not even close. We really have to spread our message wherever and whenever we can. Joining forums such as this is one way and of course there's social media. The best advice I could offer if I was ever asked to offer my advice would be to physically become part of a candidate's campaign. Support it any way you can and join the campaign to volunteer any way they need you. Whether it's donations, door knocking, telephone calls, banging campaign signs on front lawns (ask first of course) or just driving people to the polls on election day. Every task, no matter how small, is vital to the success of any candidate.

I am 74 so also can not do what I could 50 years ago.
And to be truthful, do not like going to campaign events. meetings.. I am not one of those who gets hyper excited, cheering, waving, etc. It's just not me. I do what little I do out of survival for me and everybody else. Actually I almost hate doing it. I also don;t like parties, crowds, etc.
But I can donate a little, bring goodies, put out road signs and the like.

Oh, I am not at all surprised at people who have no interest in 'politics.' we here have much more awareness than 95% of Americans.. or more or less... So we think everybody is like us. Nope..
Why in hell do people go to football games instead of orchestra concerts? beats me.
