No White House Senior Staffers Had Copy Of Woodward's Book When Excerpts Published

The incredibly slow White House reaction to the salacious excerpts from Bob Woodward’s White House memoir, “Fear,” has a simple explanation—they didn’t have the book.

According to a Wednesday Axios report, no senior staffers had read the book when the Washington Post first published excerpts on Tuesday. They reportedly have copies now and are reading through them to strategize a response.

“The problem is his credibility,” a source told Axios. “They know they can’t give him the Michael Wolff treatment,” referring to Michael Wolff’s White House bombshell “Fire and Fury.”

Per Axios, this is not the first time White House staffers have failed to procure a likely-damaging book before its contents leaked. No one had Omarosa Manigault-Newman’s “UNHINGED” before it dropped either.
