There Is No Inherent Right To Vote Per GOP. States Can Set Any Standards They Want.

The strict constructionist view of the Constitution would be that voting is a privilege granted by the government. And it can set whatever standards it wants even if it is discriminatory. I am sure that belief is what Kavanaugh believes.. It may be in error but it does not matter the GOPPERS are in charge. So if a state wants to say only property owners can vote it wood be ok with them. And i will bet that the super extremist court will actually find constitutional laws that are CLEARLY against the Constitution. And it will be laws that favor GOP control.

The reason I believe what I have just said is based on recent decisions that go against all precedent. An extreme radical court is very likely to just trash what the Constitution says and in actually become the legislative branch.

I believe we are in territory that is so off the beaten path it will make our heads spin. So November really seems to be our last chance.

if a state government decides, as all state governments have from the outset, to have an election, then other constitutional provisions kick in, such as equal protection. so landowners-only voting would still be unconstitutional.

the constitution does say that people can vote for representatives and senators.

can right-wing justices pervert the meaning on the constitution? sure, and they have and they will, and no doubt kavanaugh will produce more than his share of right-wing b.s. on the bench. but he's not wrong about direct election of the president by the people not being in the constitution.
