Dominionist leader Che Ahn is among the Religious Right figures who have recorded videos urging California pastors to attend Lanes events. From Che Ahns video, in which he says he is sending pastors in his network to both southern California events.
The Lord has given me a strategy to really turn California around. And so were trying to rally pastors who would then inform their congregation, to be a transforming agent in California, to make a difference, in this upcoming midterm election but all elections down the road.
Pastor Jack Hibbs of Calvary Chapel Chino Hills is also promoting the events. His video assures pastors that they and their wives can attend for free because the event is purely brought to you by a host of people who care about California, believers, and they believe in the pastor in the pulpit. More from Hibbs:
Californias politicians cannot save the state, but you and I canfrom the tyranny that is being legislated against our children and against our biblical freedoms right here in the state of California. The hour has fallen to us, pastors, to stand up, and to do what God has called us to do. And that is to be watchmen on the wall as pastors, blowing the trump of warning. But were not alone.

Hey Hibbs, get the fuck out of my state, you're not welcome here. And we don't need "turning around, especially from you and your people. All you do is wreck things. We don't want it or need it here. K thanks bye.

(12,661 posts)Spouse from Alabama says he figures there's more Christian flavored churches just in the county of San Diego than there are in the whole state of Alabama.
We have eight actual church buildings (that's not counting the twenty or so storefront churches and "bible study" after business hours meeting places - as well as a major Buddhist temple and the three or four Islamic meeting halls) just in a ten block area around our "ungodly crime ridden gang hangout" neighborhood.
Oh, it's the horribly abused Suburban White Prosperity Gospel types - who have, from what I can count, about fourteen "tax free" churches and church schools on prime property - not counting their huge Creationist Museum - just around the more local suburban cities of El Cajon, Santee, and Alpine - where they also make up the majority on those city councils and police forces because their greedy, fear-ridden, brain dead constituency will come out and vote against anything that might help the Brown People who lived there before the fields were turned into crackerbox housing tracts and shopping malls - even if they were on their death beds.
Idiots.

(100,087 posts)And Bill Maher was right - how can Christians claim that they're being persecuted when there's 330,000 churches in the US and only 400 Whole Foods? Explain that one, oh horribly persecuted fundies! Oh wait that's right, facts don't matter anymore.
