My thoughts on the Kavenaugh hearings and the (real/actual) Democrat's performance

We lost the last presidential election because of Russian interference, collusion between the GOPee and the Russians, dark money from American right wing extremists, and last but not least, left leaning to left extreme voters who simply could not vote for our nominee, Hillary Clinton.

With that, the Democrats now find themselves almost totally powerless to stop the confirmation of an extremist, activist, far right judge to the Supreme Court FOR LIFE.

Given their lack of power, I think the Democrats on the Judiciary Committee are doing a great job using the few tools they have.

Kavanaugh will be confirmed, probably with some Democratic votes, and possibly with some GOP no votes (Collins??? and Murkowski?) just for show. But no matter. He will be confirmed with a relatively low vote count. He will carry with him a taint. Not that that has practical meaning, but still . . . . the taint.

Elections, even elections in which the outcome is determined by chicanery, have consequences. Remember that, especially when, in times of political turmoil and exclusion, you are tempted to ignore the mainstream DEMOCRAT in favor of . . . . . whatever it is you might be in favor of.

Mrs. Clinton's loss on our allies in your grocery list of demons. It was Russian interference in our election and FBI failure to disclose their investigations. Give US a break on divisive rhetoric, please.

I don’t understand this blame game here. This divisive rhetoric is rooted in blame. Blaming others has never been a productive means for accomplishing anything good. Didn’t Mom and Dad teach some folks this?

But that is beside the central point of the OP. I think the mainstream/real Democrats are doing the very best they can with what little they have.

there are winners and losers, just as in the General Election on the horizon. May the best candidate who has the best GOTV effort win, imo.

It could have been that the candidate in question didn’t make the case for the voter to cast their ballot in their favor, but it’s much easier to blame “those left leaning rascals.”

Democratic candidates act like they care about the people and not their funding sources... and well-informed Democrats who monitor the establishment will devote themselves with gusto to the party.

Then we can get back to fighting the oligarchs on both sides of the Atlantic.

russian interference and FBI failure played a part but the whole country thinks it's 10 -20 pts to the right and trump or even bush before him wouldn't have even gotten close to the white house if the left/liberals/dems had figured out 25 years ago that giving 1500 coordinated radio stations a free speech free ride to kick their ass was a really stupid idea.

republicans can't win shit without it and wouldn't be dragging the country over a cliff now if we hadn't been ignoring it. instead we have close elections that should be no brainers and blame spineless reps or media consolidation or money in politics or russian trolling ops that piggyback talk radio memes and lies - all symptoms of ignoring a 20-1 monopoly think-tank coordinated (now probably russian) propaganda operation of 1500 unchallenged coordinated radio stations.

since the left continues the biggest political mistake in history, with ignorant asshats like cruz and cornyn and grassly picking our supremes, our only hope may be for mueller to find out limbaugh has been getting russian money for ten years.
