whether a president could be arrested, charged or tried for murder if he shot somebody on 5th Avenue on national television?
Seriously. Let's say Trump stuck a pistol in his pocket, showed up for a scheduled press conference, and shot a CNN reporter in the forehead because said reporter represented "an enemy of the people." Would Kavanaugh say he could not be arrested? Would he be able to stay in office until/unless he's impeached and not even charged with murder until he's out of office? Could the murder even be investigated? Could Trump be questioned or detained? A GOP Senate might be more likely to impeach him if he actually killed someone (though I'm no longer even sure of that), but the process takes months, and in the meantime he'd be in office, unconstrained and unimpeded. Would Kavanaugh be OK with that? Sounds like he might be.

Kavanaugh refused to answer, saying it'd been litigated before and, I believe, that it was actually 2 questions, so obviously he couldn't answer, or some other of the dishonest waffling that's all a blur.
