The people may not be happy if a president is removed.

(115,761 posts)And it's true that some people probably wouldn't be happy if Trump is removed. I, however, would be drunk and dancing in the street.

(24,396 posts)they would introduce an article of impeachment, and they havent.
LIE!
AN article was introduced in the House in Nov 2017.

(14,565 posts)That is very valuable at times, compared to other Republican pundits who simply apologize for anything Trump does. I occasionally learn things listening to Hewitt and that doesn't apply to other GOP pundits, not since Ed Rollins was a fixture on these cable shows.
For example, Hewitt after every 2016 debate immediately emphasized that Trump got the jump on Hillary in talking about job loss in Ohio, and Hewitt correctly pointed out that as soon as Trump said job loss in Ohio he wasn't speaking merely to Ohioans but other white working class voters in similar midwestern states and Pennsylvania, West Virginia as well. Hewitt wouldn't let go of that point in the immediate debate aftermath, and said everyone else may be scoring these debates for Hillary but he guarantees Trump is actually wining more votes based on that aspect alone.
Exit polls backed up that claim. Voters who chose based on the debates did not pick Hillary. It was tight but narrow edge to Trump, even though all the post-debate analysis had Hillary winning handily. She certainly did based on substance and style, but not necessarily who was being influenced.

(3,479 posts)how it resonates with millions upon millions of Trump voters? Has he ever conceded that it's Trump's chief selling point?
Then no, his insight isn't valuable at all. Every one of those rust belt states was at or near full employment at the time of the debates. WTF were they anxious about? Nothing. That's just an excuse they gave for backing Donald "I'm going to build a wall" Trump.

(5,299 posts)Hewitt made his "bones" by always claiming that whatever the Republicans think at the moment is absolutely correct, and if they change it completely tomorrow, they are still absolutely correct.

(94,624 posts)First, even if you don't like Trump, you may not dislike him ENOUGH to want him removed.
Second, you may be worried about the disruption that a change in leadership would cause.
Third, the average voter doesn't fixate on political news all day long, and would likely see impeachment or 25A as a distraction from Washington dealing with the issues they DO care about.
I was with a House candidate in a Trump district last night. NONE of her voters are talking about Trump, or Russia.

(4,125 posts)I am certain that even in the most red of districts there are Congress people, especially Democratic ones, who are getting an earful from some their constituents about Trump and his treasonous ways.

Some people may not be happy if a president is removed.....yea,
He is too stupid to write the sentence correctly and say it correctly...Or, he is a right wing asshole who represents Drump.....Yes, some wouldn't be happy, of course..but.."The people" is implying all of the people which is so stupid that he Trump will ask him to join the .."Stupid Committee of Trumpville"
Oh, that is correct, he is supposed to know what to say, cause that is his job..Another point, it is not a new job...Chucky has been around for a while. He has had some experience..

(5,644 posts)Chuck Todd reminds me of Paul Ryan's doublespeak every time I listen to him.
Chuck Todd thinks his pandering and doublespeak will play as being objective and impartial somehow but it reeks of traditional Republican cheese. However, he can hardly be accused of understanding the Republican base:
