Unless they believe that he's going to lie or contradict himself under oath, and that they will be able to prove it, they are wasting their limited question time on posturing for D voters and thereby not actually trying to derail his nomination... his positions on abortion and ethnicity-based policies are WHY Repub Senators are going to vote to confirm him. You won't change anyone's vote by revealing his biases there.

If you want to peel away a couple Repub Senators -- the only possible way Kavanaugh doesn't get confirmed, remember -- you need to expose personal behavior which disqualifies him. Lying under oath, participation in criminal conspiracies (like Leahy revealed), his strange 6-figure debts which have repeatedly appeared and then rapidly mysteriously evaporated. You need to expose him PERSONALLY as corrupt and deceitful. Because the GOP is ENTIRELY on board with his political views.
