to try to deflect from the Kavanaugh hearings.
He and his compadres are so inept the truth will leak out soon.

(3,344 posts)And we try to chastise the right for their conspiracy theories? These are just as bad.
There isn't even any indication that the Kavanaugh vote is in trouble. None.
EVERY SINGLE TIME something positive happens these forums are filled with nonsense conspiracy theories. Every single time, regardless of the facts.

(4,837 posts)For them to know that it is the turd, and then to publish it, knowing it's a farce, would be dispicable. In essence, they are complicit in helping him. If this is the case, everyone should cancel and or not buy their paper.

(1,733 posts)The amazing story of Donald Trumps old spokesman, John Barron who was actually Donald Trump himself
In the 1980s, when reporters called the Trump Organization to request an interview with the boss, they were sometimes referred to a spokesman, instead. That a busy and image-conscious executive such as Donald Trump would place a buffer between himself and the media was hardly unusual, but there was a twist: The spokesman, John Barron, was actually Trump, hiding behind a fake name.
Remarkably, Trump kept up the charade for a full decade, as reporters unwittingly quoted Barron as if he were a real person. In a LexisNexis search, the first mention of the name appears on June 6, 1980, in a New York Times report about Trumps controversial decision to destroy two Art Deco sculptures he had conditionally promised to the Metropolitan Museum of Art. In that instance, Trump used the alias to stall for three days before finally giving an interview under his own name; when he did, he told the Times that he had been out of town and unavailable (!).

(3,479 posts)Trump, like this anonymous writer just did? No, just the opposite.
When Trump does get someone to write something on his behalf, it always reads like that laughable letter from his doctor. Gushing to the point of absurdity.
This 4D chess stuff is proof that even liberal Democrats build this circus clown up into something more than he is. I don't get it.

You maga people who think the op-ed is some sort of elaborate trolling from the WH are out of your minds.
Orange Furby is in the Trumpenbunker rage-watching Fox, his chin smeared with KFC gravy, his bib littered with fried chicken crumbs.
He more in-patient than President.

Op-Ed seems like a cry for help to me, a need to put this out in the public sphere. It is both thoughtful and self-reflective. I think this person really believes he is protecting the country against Trump. I think that view of himself is wrongheaded. He and his group need to go public ASAP.
