Trump supporters are the same people the GOP has been pandering to for decades.

Every dog whistle in the GOP arsenal has been amplified and laid bare with Trump and as much as that coarse honesty bothers some republicans - (it's not the racism/sexism that bothers them - it's the openness about it that does) - they need those votes to win.
