Ryan is horrible in many regards, but Princess Dumbass of the Northwoods has him beat by a country mile in the ignorance and stupidity department.

Ryan is light years smarter, but from a strategic point, this was political seppuku. Romney MUST win Florida and Ohio to even think about getting 270. His electoral path was difficult. Now it is impossible. At least Palin energized the base and until she proved to be a complete dolt, had people excited. This guy is going to drag the ticket fast and hard in key swing states that Romney has to win.

8. The real winner here today is the one percent.

They have now set up the Presidential race as a contest between slashing safety nets and cutting safety nets.

They know Ryan can't win. They know Romney can't win.

But after an entire election season of horror stories about what Ryan's budget would do to our lives, the public will actually be GRATEFUL to accept Obama's Grand Bargain cutting SS, Medicare and Medicaid.

Cuts in SS, Medicare, and Medicaid that previously were considered outrageous and shocking will now be welcomed with tears and gratitude as the more humane and generous choice.

They have been trying to figure out how to start getting rid of these programs without causing public outrage for decades. The existence of public safety nets, and the public's expectation that they will always be there, has always been the single greatest obstacle the one percent has faced in truly looting this country.

They have finally figured out a way to start dismantling them without provoking public outrage.
