It would seem that telling the truth would probably register as more stressful to him than telling lies.

Most people are uncomfortable when they lie, or maybe more accurately they lie when they are uncomfortable. A polygraph may be able to pick up on this but it's important to recognize that it's not detecting a lie, only discomfort.

Some people lie with great comfort, and also there are plenty of situations where people are uncomfortable even when being truthful. These are among the reasons lie detectors don't always work well.

With Donnie there's no need for a lie detector. He is so obvious and easy to read. If he gets indignant, he's lying. If he attacks, he's lying. The rare occasions when he's telling the truth, he's very calm.
