Such a paradigm...

I'm somewhat hoping that Trump keeps tweeting because he keeps showing how inept he is.

I also worry that he'll tweet something so stupid he'll start a war.

Add to the mix the anonymous OPed (which was brilliant). But now that the White House knows it has a mole, is the White House going to restrict access to those people who have been protecting the USA?

It's difficult to know what to hope for.

November 6 cannot come soon enough. And even then it may be too late (thanks to the Kavanaugh nomination).

The situation is not really a paradigm, although I understand your desire to intellectualize what's going on.

This presidency is simply a shitshow. It's a big, hot mess and I agree with your last sentence.

I was wondering what we, as reasonable individuals, have to hope for.

On the tails of the OpEd, can we expect that those individuals who have been protecting the US will still be able to do that?

Or, given the OpEd, do we hope he screws up so horribly that there is nothing that will protect him, and then we're rid of him once and for all.

I admit it--I am resigned to the fact that this guy is going to screw up on such a monumental scale.

Do we want a country where we are ignoring the constitution so that appointed officials are running the show? Or do we want him to tweet his way into WW III?

Seems to me to be a lose-lose situation.

You don't know how right you are. Dod you see on the news yesterday where it was widely reported that staff had to call back a Tweet he was all set to send to Kim announcing the withdrawal of all US civilians from S. Korea? North Korea (through back channels) let the few thinking people on Sharty's staff know that, if the Tweet had been sent as it read, North Korea was going to assume that an invasion by the US was imminent.
