Is my senator Chris Murphy looking for higher office? I am seeing him on the political

talk shows lately and I get the distinct feeling that he is.

He could be the new face of the Dem party. I like him a lot.

Or maybe I'm just dreaming that our good junior senator from CT could be a contender in the Dem presidential primaries in 2020...

But I really want Kamala Harris to get the nomination...time for a woman.

I think it's more Warren's time. Harris just got to the Senate, and although that worked for Obama, I think she's young enough that she has time to get her Presidential feet wet.

That she's only running for Senate again this fall. And we sure need her voice and leadership in the Senate, wish we had a lot more like her!

Because she wants to be assured of winning this election. If she was entertaining the thought of running in 2020, the repubs would be all over her about it.

Candidates never tip their hand before making a run official. Has there ever been someone who ran, and flat out admitted they were only going to stay for a couple of years, since they wanted to campaign for President right after this election?

Here's the interview, Jimmy Kimmel asks her if she's running for president right near the end.

Senator Warren talks about getting her fighting spirit from her mom, how hard it is to live off of minimum wage in America, Donald Trump’s inauguration, the fight to bring health care to all Americans, why calling your representatives is important, and reveals whether or not she’s running for president.

from the repukes. Besides, Trump has been such a disaster, only his hardest core voters could possibly want another ride on that rollercoaster.

Probably because he's well spoken - and willing to speak out. But if he's aiming for higher office, those qualities will serve him well.

as the mid-terms start to look like they're being decided, pols all over the spectrum start polishing their images, getting on the talk shows, the usual.

We could do a hell of a lot worse than Murphy.

especially for the cable networks. He seems pretty impressive, and could well be a contender.

The Dems have a great pool of up-and-coming candidates for 2020. There are a number of possible tickets that could do very well. It gives me hope.

But, first the mid-terms...

2020 runners. He's a genuine guy, fearless for taking on the NRA and has the gravitas that will be required post the Orange baboon.

I've also said previously that there is a very healthy list of Democrats, and I think the 2020 Dem primaries will produce a great pick. Just let the process take its way.

together (during Euromaiden and again after, I believe). He has the foreign relations credentials, for sure.

He has also been on the leading edge of gun reform, and he seems like such a genuine, down to earth person.

It would be a far too northeast-centric ticket, but a Warren-Murphy ticket would be excellent (as would a Duckworth - Murphy ticket).

Whatever he plans on doing, he has this constituents full support!
