To the Senators---of both parties---who say they are still "undecided" about Kavanaugh:

how much respect does history show to those who supported Joe McCarthy? To those who voted against the Civil Rights Act? To those who backed slavery?

How many who opposed a woman's right to vote are smiled upon by history? Are any who fought to deny gay marriage rights candidates for "Profiles In Courage"?

Folks, history eventually winnows out all of the lies, the hypocrisy and the utter bullshit and preserves and celebrates the true, the decent and the courageous. Sometimes it takes years, even decades, to see clearly which side is the "right" side of history and which is the "wrong" side. This is not one of them---and you damn well know it!

When you calculate what ephemeral political advantage you might gain by a vote to confirm, weigh this scenario in the future: your grandchild being asked "Didn't your grandma/grandpa vote for the guy who was the deciding vote on the SCOTUS to abolish a woman's right to control her own body, to enshrine the concept that the POTUS is above the law and to allow fossil fuel companies to accelerate global climate change?"

Some of you have spent your careers accommodating the political right. Isn't it time to accomodate the right side of history?

are "iffy". Today was the first time that Murkowski's local office in Anchorage had "mailboxes full" on the phone and her DC office made me wait on hold for 5 min while I had to listen to "From the Halls of Montezuma..." on a loop (yuk). I spoke with staffers at Collins local Bangor office yesterday and she was very nice as I went through my reasons why Collins shouldn't approve him for SCOTUS. I wish more people would call, this isn't over as many people on this site seem to be believing. People ARE calling and there is still time before a vote. The Dems on the Judiciary Comm. fought and we were proud of them, now it is our turn to put a few minutes into the effort. It literally takes 3 min to CALL! NO EXCUSES!

We stopped the ACA repeal and RESISTANCE WORKS! JUST DO IT!

Before I finished the first paragraph, I was reading your post with Walter Cronkite's voice in my head.

Senators voting to install a liar and ideologue onto the highest court in the U.S. will not be remembered with favor.

I saw Mark Warner, a Senate DEMOCRAT, on tv, saying he's undecided but leaning against voting for Kavanaugh's confirmation.

Even a conservative Senator in his right mind wouldn't vote to confirm that liar, that tool.

They care about the cash and perks and pals they have right now.

And to advance in their special little outpost of hell, you have to be evil.
