I got to stand kind of close to him about a year ago and he didn't seem that tall but I was trying not to gawk at him.

He did great tonight. He was definitely jazzed to be there.

I enjoyed him very much.

I watched that video of him defending the NFL protests. That was great, too. IMO, it may end up being classic. Upon rewatching it, I was reminded of JFK's famous quote about what it means to be a liberal. I carry that JFK quote around in my wallet.

Now it is time to have one of our best for a change. If Beto unseats Cruz, I predict he will be the first of a wave, and not an exception to what has been a very unfortunate rule of late.
