Fox News Panel Absolutely Shreds Trump’s ‘Disgusting’ Puerto Rico Response: It ‘Cheapens Us as a Country’

On Thursday, Fox News’ Outnumbered panel slammed President Donald Trump for his conspiratorial tweets about how many people died in Puerto Rico because of Hurricane Maria.

Trump, while tweeting on Thursday morning, disputed the estimated death toll of 3,000 — calling it a Democrat plot to disparage him. Fox co-host Melissa Francis blasted the president’s tweets as “distasteful.” She added, “to take up on the issue of how many people are dead is so disgusting.”

“It cheapens us as a country,” Harris Faulkner said.

Steve Hilton, today’s #OneLuckyGuy, agreed that the current political arguments are “unseemly,” though he also said the politicalization of Puerto Rico started when San Juan Mayor Carmen Yulin Cruz accused the Trump Administration of inaction. Katie Pavlich lamented the current commotion as a “distraction” when the country could learn from the mistakes of Maria to better prepare itself for Hurricane Florence.

Leslie Marshall panned Trump’s attempt to “turn disaster into political victory,” saying hurricane relief is not something to politicize even if it may not factor into the midterm elections.

"unseemly", and "cheapens us", in hopes even the smallest dose of reality in response to the shitstain's lies will cause maybe a FEW fox viewers to realize this maybe this guy DOES lie sometimes. MAYBE if FOX says it's ok to question something shitstain said, it might make a few viewers feel like they're not being completely un-'murican if they choose not to swallow everything he says hook, line and sinker.

I wouldn't have guessed Fox would come down here on the Emperor Trump's callous tweet about Puerto Rico. They're spraying lots of blame around, particularly (and predictably) at the Mayor of San Juan for her correct evaluation of the administration's efforts, but still, for Fox even to get to "distasteful" is a sea change.

They're still despicable.

Steve Hilton, today’s #OneLuckyGuy, agreed that the current political arguments are “unseemly,” though he also said the politicalization of Puerto Rico started when San Juan Mayor Carmen Yulin Cruz accused the Trump Administration of inaction. She didn't politicize it, you doofus. She was stating a clear fact. If you choose the take that as politicization, then you are a buffoon. The reality is that Republicans can't govern. That's not politicizing their failures. It's calling attention to them.

Katie Pavlich lamented the current commotion as a “distraction” when the country could learn from the mistakes of Maria to better prepare itself for Hurricane Florence. Oh my. You, too are a buffoon. Do you know remember Katrina? Thanks to Republicans, we know what the mistakes are. For the most part, Democrats don't make these mistakes. Sure, we, too, can learn how to do things better. But Republicans are still trying to figure out how to do things decent enough in the first place.

Just admit the reality that you just don't fucking care.
