IF KAVANAUGH VOTE CAN BE DELAYED

Then no matter what, this is no nothing-burger!!

(Sorry for yelling.)

The way things have been going lately, with huge stories breaking daily, every single day that Kavanaugh is not yet on the SC is a win.

I cannot understand why there are so many posts on DU downplaying this! Is there a risk it's another Dan Rather situation? Of course, but: we are at the point where it behooves us to try *anything* to delay this confirmation! No matter what. Any effort we make now will pale in comparison to what we would have to do *later* to reverse this abomination!

We've been begging and screaming for the Dems to do something, and then Booker stepped up. Now DiFi does something and some people are dismissing it before really knowing any facts!

We are fighting a ground war right now, where every single inch of territory gained is a victory!

and they were expected to do so. It's in the rules. It isn't necessarily connected to the letter.

However, if the letter can cause further delays, which we may not know right up until the vote is taken, then every day delayed is good.

all they did was pass it on to the WH to include in Kavanaugh's background investigation.

Grassley has already said that he is going ahead with a vote on the 20th.

There's always the very slim possibility that what DiFi did was enough to let Kavanaugh know that there's something untoward about his past, that perhaps he had forgotten about or just simply hadn't considered, that might cause him embarrassment were it to be made public. Maybe he drops out because he doesn't want it known.

Maybe this was the only hand left to be played. At least she tried.

win or lose, they did a hell of a job bringing to light just how despicable Kavanaugh is.

Senator King (Indep-Maine) already said he will vote NO on a confirmation. Who knows who else may join him. I will take any good news I can get on this issue. Too many Dem "Party Poopers" around here lately.

I'm thinking about Collins and Murkowski. Wouldn't that be a godsend.
